I used to come here a lot for mini-retreats, when I lived in Boston. Now, after 20 years, I’m happy to say that the place still has a magical effect on me. Oh, you have your T-shirt shops and your ice cream shops, and your masses of tourists streaming past each other on narrow walkways, but I like all of that stuff here. And the best part is that you can get away from crowds and take in the majesty of the ocean and the soaring seagulls and the slow passage of the boats on the water. I’m here only for a day, but I fully grasp the value and taking a little time away. I think that sometimes people become their truest selves when they travel to a place they love.
