I have a friend that I share gratitudes with every night before going to sleep. Tonight at the top of my list was your book. What a wonderful day I’ve spent reading it, taking my time, napping in between chapters. I don’t want to finish this too soon. I’m in bed now and ready to read some more but not too much, so that in the morning after a few Mary Oliver poems and coffee and doing Wordle I can get back to Aurthur and Nola and Frank and all the other wonderful people, some of whom we’ve known for a while but now we get to know them when they were young. How do I take my time with this and not just gobble it up? I will do my best…
The Mason series kept me sane during quarantine. Thank you for sharing these lovely characters, I cannot wait to start listening (although if I start it I will finish and I’m not ready for the story to be over. Such is the life of a reader). Congratulations and Happy Birthday 🎂
I had tried to take advantage of the offer of getting the first few signed books from somewhere. I am not sure I did that correctly. Is there a way I can check on or re-do that wish?
If not I’ll get it from a bookstore.
Sincerely,
And thank you for many moments of whimsical and painful memories of life at every stage.
I just finished this book and sat in my favorite reading chair with the book in my lap, weeping. What a wonderful way to get to know Arthur Trulove…such a beautiful story. I’ve been a loyal fan since Talk Before Sleep. I’ve loved them all. 💖🌸💖
Oh Arthur! What an amazing and simply wonderful human being! Thank you for bringing him to life. I was truly touched by this book and thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I cried through some chapters. But that’s what made it special. I felt his emotions through your wonderful gift of writing. Thank you for sharing your gift as a writer. At times, I read a sentence more than once because it is so perfectly stated and I connect. Is it possible to have a favorite author? Ive read all your books, some more than once.
